開始注意到 Alanis Morissette 是從他的 Hands Clean ，這首歌好聽，音樂錄影帶也不錯。之後的 Precious Illusion 也很棒，旋律朗朗上口，音樂錄影帶也同樣特別〈沒錯，我詞窮了〉。
去年他的新單曲 Everything 差點被我唾棄，並不是不好聽，而是因為那時候聽電台，怎麼聽都是這一首，幾乎每一小時聽一次，聽到都快吐了還不換，這些電台工作人員真該打屁股〈Hoobastank 的 The Reason 也是放到幾乎受不了，過一段時間後再聽又覺得真的很好聽耶〉。又記得以前曾經在西洋大樂兵裡看過 Alanis Morissette 的Thank You 音樂錄影帶，對他大膽的行徑一直感到佩服，還有 So Pure 裡大跳各個年代風行的舞蹈也令人印象深刻。還有聽過 You Learn、Hand In My Pocket 就覺得他的歌真的很好聽，跟我一開始的印象差很多，我還以為她是走搖滾路線的呢。You Learn 的副歌歌詞很特別，感覺不管你做什麼都可以學到東西。Hand In My Pocket 大玩映襯法，正好合我的胃口。之後聽過 Ironic 的副歌，覺得不錯聽，所以前幾天就去下載。

我邊看著歌詞邊聽，有種哀傷的感覺，的確是一些很諷刺的故事。我對第二段不知怎麼地，特別有感覺，看到那男人說了「這樣也不錯」，總有種令人不勝唏噓的感覺。不過後來的那段「遇到夢中情人，遇到他美麗的妻子」給我一種無奈又可愛的感覺，歌詞看完後我的心得是「C'est la Vie！」，該發生的就是會發生，再悲觀也於事無補。整首歌的旋律也不錯，在音樂錄影帶裡，Alanis Morissette 張大嘴巴唱歌看起來就很過癮，所以現在每次唱這首歌時都會習慣把嘴巴張大並且大聲唱。真的是很推薦的一位歌手！
